JV Wonder is the musical duo of Levi Downey and Joel Stanton. The two write and produce electronic pop songs with a retro, groove flavor. Since 2019, their growing catalog has caught the interest of publishers and industry influencers alike.
Downey and Stanton come from the diverse musical underground of the Pacific Northwest. They met while touring the West Coast; Downey in jazz fusion group Echo Pearl Varsity and Stanton in indie rock band Perfect Families. Finding themselves pushing the boundaries of the hipster-oriented rock/pop scenes, and after a few birkenstock hikes they decided to join forces. Lured by new opportunities in Film/TV they relocated to Los Angeles to join a thriving pop music community.
With a lust for the underground sounds of indie rock, jazz, and dance music, JV Wonder aims to push the limits of genre. Layering rich synth textures and live horns their music shares an uplifting message of hope over playful grooves. The duo continues to release new music and collaborate with a growing repertoire of singers and instrumentalists as they evolve their signature sound.
